WHAT IS MY STYLE?
Classic feminine with a modern twist. I like clean lines (no clutter) and classic black, white and red combinations but also love colours. I like to look sexy without showing off too much – and it has to be comfortable, because that’s where the majority of my confidence comes from.
(If I have to adjust things every 10 minutes it won’t last long in my wardrobe!)
I love playing with different accessories like belts and scarves and finding the right jewellery for every outfit (it’s an endless search – which is fine by me!)
I love my jeans but try to dress them up with tunics or dressy tops if I’m going outside. I’ve moved on from the t-shirts (done them to death and I want to look sexy woman, not casual girl) and with maturity, I find myself wearing more A-line and pencil skirts. I want to look and feel like a confident woman (but I'm no lady! ;-)
I keep it fairly simple with necklaces, bracelets and rings. A good piece of jewellery speaks for itself and I’m not (usually) a bling bling girl. I like eclectic (hard to find) pieces that compliment my clothes.
WHAT IS MY FASHION PERSONALITY?
I love to explore new stores and designers, and be inspired by different shapes and colours that I see on runways or out in the street.
I go through my wardrobe once a season to cull the items that I know I haven’t worn in 6 months.
Either because it didn’t fit right in the first place (yes, sometimes online shopping doesn’t work out) or because it’s time to move onto the next ‘look’ or phase I’m going through.
They’re fairly subtle changes – it might be a new colour I’ve decided to go with, or an old colour that I need to move on from. The seasons influence my wardrobe heavily and I am always scrutinizing what’s necessary (gotta make room for new items!)
I thoroughly enjoy trawling the internet for hours for the best deals on accessories – I never find what I want in stores, so finding an amazing ring or scarf online for half the price you would find it in stores gives me great satisfaction ;-)
I am also inspired by others and dress to suit my mood. If I want to channel elegance and poise I dress like Holly Golightly and if I’m feeling fun and flirty I’ll take some style from Sandy Olsson – this is how I keep fashion fun!
