I love the cooling temperatures of autumn... a chance for the body to stop sweating for a moment and enjoy the comfort and exuberance of layering, jackets and boots! some of my favourite fashion past times.
Ezibuy 2-in-1 Cardi |
Thin/ light wool cardi's are perfect for the fresh mornings/ warm days. Don't go too thick/ heavy on the wool unless you're going for the michelin man look. TIP: Thin and light will look right.
Chances are, you already have one of these drapey cardi's from last autumn-winter and if you do, try wrapping it and holding with a belt or brooch.
Brooches are fun, easy and inexpensive way to smarten up a look (not just for nanna anymore).

BOOTS! BOOTS! BOOTS!
If you haven't already noticed, boots will be in! in! in! this autumn-winter, so go for feminine-military inspired.
Also, just for fun (and because they are so funkin' cool) - check out the wellies (gum boots) range from Nomad. I've only added a couple of my faves but they have a massive range!

COLOURS FOR AUTUMN
The mood this autumn is bold natural colours of the wilderness...pine trees, autumn leaves (mustard yellow/ burnt orange) and furry mammals <tee hee> (coffee liquer)
Mix and match but definately play around with different textures like fauz fur, tweed, lace, wool knits and sheer...
oh and don't forget animal prints!!! (but go easy - one item of clothing with prints will be plenty) - having said that, if you have the personality for it, try the faux fur shawl with flower/ tiger inspired print dress - see below
Anna Sui Fall 2011 |
Burnt Orange - Check out Sass & Bide Fall 2011 Collection as their collection almost exclusively is dedicated to this colour - my fave is the cowl-neck wrap suede dress - divine!
